Market in Aix-en-Provence  


The morning ritual most appreciated by locals and others, enter the garden of Provence, hear the chatter of the merchants presiding over their productions : fruit, vegetables, flowers, cloth and accessories.


• Every day local producers on the place Richelme near the "place de l'Hotel de Ville" (city hall).

• Three times a week : Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, "le grand marché" on the "place des Prêcheurs" next to the "Palais de Justice".

• Aix's flower market, a riot of colors and scents on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on the "place de l'Hotel de Ville" (city hall).

• "Brocantes" (less then one hundred year antiques) and antiques on the "place Verdun" at the foot of the steps of the "Palais de Justice" on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

• Market for old books, first Sunday of every month on the "place de l'Hotel de Ville" (city hall).

• Antique dealers of the pays d'Aix, Artisans' fair and brocante in July and August on the "place Jeanne d'Arc" and the "Cours Sextius".

• Puyricard (6 Kms north of Aix-en-Provence, Bus n°21), village market, traditional production, place de l'Eglise, every Friday morning.
